Nicola Bertoglio is a multidisciplinary artist and human rights activist from Italy. He has taken part in numerous exhibitions throughout Italy and beyond. He lives and works in Milan.

Artist statement:

Since 2013, he has focused primarily on mobile photography using smartphones and tablets, a practice he refers to as “iphoneography”. 

Recently, he has been experimenting in the field of digital art through the use of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and net art.

Sitting with myself in the Metaverse

It is a video performance in which I made an avatar resembling myself interact with a video of my face within a Metaverse space. The silent dialogue that arose is a metaphor for my artistic research, which has always been primarily aimed at a deep understanding of myself.
